“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

One of the most important things we can do to continue our progress towards “Christ-likeness” is to learn “all things whatsoever Christ has taught” (Matthew 28:20). Though we can’t learn everything there is to know in just one or two days (nor in one or two “decades”!), we should be constantly growing in our knowledge of the Word of God…and learning better how to apply it in the lost and fallen culture that we live in all around us.

Mentoring (start and length of time varies) – Begin “mentored” by a mature “Christian” mentor will help you understand what the “Disciplines of a Godly Man” (for men) or the “Disciplines of a Godly Woman” (for women) are. As you learn what these biblical mandated disciplines are…your mentor will help in guiding you to ways to implement these disciplines into your lives so that you know what to be thinking and doing to be more “Christ-like” in a non-Christian culture.
