Ministry Opportunities
Intercessory Prayer Ministry: Join us for a special time of praise and prayer at 9AM each Thursday. Everyone is welcome to come and pray verbally or silently as the Holy Spirit leads. You will experience the Lord’s presence in a mighty way, and leave blessed to have sat at the feet of Jesus.
LASE (Ladies Actively Serving & Encouraging: Our Ladies LASE Ministry meets regularly to fellowship and organize special events such as Teacher Appreciation gifts, Senior Citizens' gifts, Mother's Day gifts to shut-ins, Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes, Easter baskets to children of unwed mothers, and much much more. These ladies serve our Loris community as well by creating and sewing useful items for our shut-ins, Loris Adult Daycare Center, and many other ministries.
Men For Christ: This is for all men of all ages of Loris First Baptist Church and the men in our community. We seek to develop in all men a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Men For Christ will provide opportunities for men to become disciples and disciple other men while strengthening their personal relationship with God. This ministry seeks to accomplish our mission through Bible Study, mentoring relationships, discipleship, fellowship, and mission projects. Meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Each meeting will include a meal, Scripture, and discussions of mission projects planned and performed by the Men for Christ.
Senior Adults: We try to make Senior Adults Ministry as vibrant and Christ centered as possible. This ministry program includes classes, trips, luncheons, dinners, socials and volunteer activities. All activities provide opportunities for Christian fellowship. We also try to inspire spiritual growth throughout the Senior Adults program.
Home-Bound Ministry: This ministry has a heart for senior citizens who are unable to go to church or get out. They visit shut-ins in homes, rehab centers, nursing homes, and assisted living homes. On Sundays, they set up live streaming for the Worship Service and on Wednesdays, they play Bingo at the Loris Senior Center. During the week they visit homes. If you have a heart for seniors, please give us a call.
Audio/Visual: This team of dedicated men and women serve each Sunday during worship taking care of lighting, microphones, Song Show, and Power Point.
Ushers: These men serve our congregation during worship service by making sure everyone is seated and enjoying the worship service.
Condolence: The condolence committee is committed to reaching out to our church families during the loss of a loved one or a family in need by providing a meal. We feel it ministers to the family by relieving them of concerns for a meal during the time of the funeral.
Flowers and Decorating: These ladies beautifully decorate the church for all occasions.
Nursery: These men and women take care of our babies during worship services.
Grow: The Grow scope and sequence will take kids through every major Bible story in three years. We spend an equal amount of time in the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament is taught chronologically over the course of three years, while the New Testament is taught chronologically every year (with different stories each year), beginning with Jesus’ birth and ending with the early church. Plus, there is a fun new theme every month that will complement the teaching.
The program is for boys and girls ages 2 (must be 2 by September 30) and up. We meet every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

Our Children's Choirs-Rehearsals Sundays from 4:30-5:30
Do you have a child in Pre K-Fifth Grade? Our Children's Choir program has two choir offerings that are appropriately designed for their grade levels. The [Tiny Trebles] is for grades Pre-K through 1 and The Son Singers is for grades 2-5. We prepare your children to be church wide leaders in worship, and throughout the community! In addition to singing once a month in morning worship, the children's choirs present musicals related to the liturgy throughout the year.
We believe you are never too young to live out your faith and worship God.
Youth Ministry: All youth are invited to enjoy meeting every Wednesday evening from 6 PM to 7 PM.
Adult Choir: Do you like to use your voice to praise and worship God? Has God gifted you with the talent to play a musical instrument? Consider joining one of our music programs! The Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00 PM-8:30 PM.
Come share the musical gift God has given you by singing in our adult choir. The adult choir provides choral leadership in our 10:15 am Sunday morning worship service. At this time, we also invite any youth aged singer to join the adult choir!
Wrapped In Love: This ladies’ ministry crochet blankets, prayer shawls, lap robes, baby blankets, children boggins, etc. for the homebound or hospital patients, etc.
