From Our Pastor
Recently we have had some big and almost frightening rain storms. As I watched the rain and hail pour down and the waters rise from the ditches and flow like a river, I thought how much like life this is. We find ourselves in some difficult and troubling times. Large companies going bankrupt. Thousands of people losing their jobs. Perhaps we never thought that it could happen here, or to us. But it has. How are we going to deal with these turbulent times? Maybe a better question is, “How is God going to deal with these times?” “How God deals with...” is the title of a short series of messages I want to begin this Sunday morning. But let me remind you that God is never taken by surprise with the things that are happening. His Word assures us that He is on top of everything. Jer.29:11(NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” –Bro. Larry |
